Channel 3000 | The leaves have fallen, there’s a new crispness in the air, and holiday lights are popping up everywhere. That can only mean one thing: the holiday season is just about here.

News 3 Now’s Josh Spreiter helped ring in the holiday season at Hilldale Shopping Center over the weekend during the shopping center’s fourth annual North Pole Party.

The annual event had other special guests, too, including Santa and his reindeer.

The shopping center’s recurring event takes over the area’s open spaces each year to host a night of games, crafts, shopping and hot chocolate for families to enjoy before the season gets fully underway.

Shopping center staff said the decorations take months of planning in advance.

“Santa’s here, we’ve got ballerinas in Kendra Scott’s windows, and there’s just kids that have just joy on their faces when they see the cool stuff we’ve got here,” hilldale Marketing Manager Corinn Ploessl said.

Stores at Hilldale also put on Black Friday preview shopping in an attempt to help shoppers get a heads tart on their gift-giving.
