Menorah Lighting at Hilldale

The menorah will glow at Hilldale Shopping Center, one of thousands sponsored by Chabad throughout the world.

Jewish leaders say the lighting event is a way for the whole community to embrace the meaning of the holiday.

“It’s so important that we take the message of Hanukkah, which is just unity and sharing the light and not backing down and cowering away in the face of darkness and saying we’re here and this is a message of hope and we’re happy to share it and enjoy it in the streets,” said Rabbi Avremel Matusof.
