Hilldale sidewalk sale supports Madison Reading Project

MADISON (WKOW) — Hilldale Shopping Center in Madison hosted a summer sidewalk sale on Saturday.

There was live music on the green and a book drive to support Madison Reading Project.

The sale was interrupted by rain, but business owners say it was still a great way to enjoy the day outdoors.

“We had a little bit of rain coming in earlier, so we had to move our tables in and out which can be challenging at times, but I think its a lot of excitement built in to the community,” said Irv Hirschfeld, co-owner of Morgan’s Shoes at the mall.

The bins to donate books to the Madison Reading Project will be up at the mall through Sunday.
