We are currently offering a $2,500 Signing Bonus for Full-Time Cheese Monger at the Hilldale location!
Our Specialty Cheese Department handles nearly 300 varieties of artisan cheeses. As a Cheese Monger, you focus on preparing product for sale as well as describing it – the cheesemaking process, storing and handling, and pairings. You’ll facilitate department goals, scheduling, safety and proper rotation techniques.
This is a lively culinary environment that includes managing staff and providing excellent customer service. You cut cheese to order for our shoppers and find new and creative ways to merchandise and display our large array of local and international cheeses. It’s Cheese all day!
What you’ll do:
- Provide amazing service to your shoppers and fellow teammates
- Direct and coordinate the teams’ efforts with a caring attitude and effective approach
- Sustain an ever-growing, high level of product knowledge and order accordingly
- Cut, weigh, and wrap Specialty Cheese items, keeping your displays current and appealing
When you’ll work:
- Flexibility needed between 7a and 7p, including weekends and some holidays
What you’ll need:
- At least 2 years’ specialty cheese experience
- Knowledge of local Wisconsin Cheese preferred
- Strong people management skills
- Food Safety Certification preferred
